Covenant Point Ministries

· Board of Trustees - Responsible for the care and maintenance of Covenant Point property.

· Care Ministry - Responds to the numerous personal needs of the congregation.

· Children's Ministry - For children in grade 5 and younger.  The children enjoy a variety of activities and are encouraged to participate in Sunday School and Vacation Bible School.

· Church Council - Develops and implements nurture, outreach, and witness ministries.  The Church Council  envisions, plans, and implements and annually evaluates the mission and ministry of the church.

· Communications Ministry - Utilizes ideas, resources, and skills pertaining to communication tasks in an effort to provide assistance to Covenant Point and its members.

· Communion Stewards - Assists the Pastor with giving Communion to the congregation on the first Sunday of each month.

· Dance Ministry - Performs dances for the congregation and other local churches in an effort to uplift its audiences and glorify God.

· Education Ministry - Responsible for managing and coordinating the children's, youth, and adult Bible Studies and Vacation Bible School.

· Family Ministry - Responsible for  offering guidance and support to families in need.

· Finance Committee - The finance ministry is required to propose, raise, manage, and distribute financials resources of the congregation.

· Health & Welfare - The purpose of this ministry is to assist Covenant Point church and its members in being involved in direct service to persons in needs by attending to their health and welfare.

· Historian - Responsible for the preservation of all Covenant Point Church records and historical materials including audiovisuals, documents, photographs, sound recordings, and magnetic or other tapes, in connection with the transaction of church business.

· Married Couples Ministry - Responsible for teaching how to experience the fullness of the marriage covenant and avoid practices that serve to weaken it.

· Music Ministry - Provides the music and choir for worship service.

· Prison Ministry - Ministers to various correctional facilities providing inmates with an opportunity to worship.

· SPRC - The /staff Pastor-Parish Relations Committee engages in biblical and theological reflections of the mission of the church, the primary task, and ministries of the local church.

· TNT - This group of volunteers provides Tuesday Night Tutoring (TNT) to children in grades K-12 in various subjects as needed.

· United Methodist Men (UMM) - Provides a dedicated ministry for building men spiritually and involving men in the total ministry of the church.

· United Methodist Women  (UMW) - The purpose of the of the ministry is to experience freedom as whole persons through Jesus Christ; to develop a creative, supportive fellowship; and to expand concepts of mission.

· Worship - The purpose of this ministry is to coordinate a total worship experience for the community of faith.

· Youth Ministry - Coordinates activities for children in grades 6 through 12. They address concerns of the youth in our community so that they might grow in their understanding of themselves and the Christian faith.
